Here comes the 3rd bird. Even though they grow up till about 25 cm, their order of the scientific classification is Passeriformes which is same as sparrow. The meaning of "crown" is used for Japanese name. They actually show their own "crown". I thought only male has this crown just like the other kind of birds in the very beginning. But female also has that crown and that is shorter than male's crown.
They have been listed as Critically Endangerd speicies and restricted to the island Bali in Indonesia. Their population has been decreased by the development of the island and the over-hunted as a pet. Since the Bali Tiger has been extinct since 1937, this birds are the only endemic vertebrate species in this island.
What I really wanted to see/show was this bird's pale blue eggs! I couldn't find one single picture out this time...
